Authorizing an API

Authorize an API on the Authorized APIs tab of the Applications page.

Add a plan to an API.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Applications page.

  2. Click Create your first Application.

  3. Give the Application a name, owner name, owner email, and optionally a description.

  4. Click Save.

    The new Application is added to the table on the Applications page.

  5. Click on the name of an Application to open the Authorized Application page.

  6. On the General tab, add additional contact information and notes.

  7. On the Authorized APIs tab, click Authorize an API.

    The Authorize APIs panel opens.

    Only APIs with attached Authentication Sources are included in the list.

  8. Check the box next to one or more APIs and click Add (X) Selected.

    The table of APIs is updated with the new authorizations.

  9. Within the API row, click Choose a contract.

    The Contract Selection panel opens.

  10. Select one of the contracts that you added in steps 2–6 and click Choose this Contract.

    The Contract name is listed in the Contract column for the API.
